TOURIST VISA WITH A NON-JAPANESE CITIZEN GUARANTOR REQUIREMENTS

PLEASE PRINT ALL DOCUMENTS IN A4 SIZE PAPER

1)      Visa application form - completely accomplished. No erasures and no correction tapes. Typewritten or handwritten application forms are acceptable. Please download latest visa application form here.

 

2)      Color photo (2x2, with white background, taken within the last three months). Face should have a neutral expression. Photo should be pasted on the application form.  Please write complete name and birthdate at the back of the photo. 

 

3)      Original Philippine passport (should be valid for more than 6 months).  Must be signed and have at least two blank pages. Broken and tampered passports will not be accepted. 

 

  • Old passport should also be submitted if any previous Japan visas or OECD country visas were issued. (Please see list of OECD countries here)

 

4)      Photocopy of passport bio-page (page 2)

 

5)      Original and photocopy of valid visa/s and arrival stamps to Japan or any OECD member countries  for the past 5 years (if applicable only).

 

6)      PSA birth certificate (must be issued within six months from date of submission of visa application).

 

  • If Applicant’s Birth Certificate is Late Registered: please provide photocopy of Baptismal Certificate AND Form 137 School Record.

  • If Birth Certificate is Unreadable: please provide copy of Birth Certificate from Local Civil Registrar of the municipality of the birthplace.

  • If there is no record in PSA, please submit a “Certificate of Non-Record” from PSA together with a birth certificate from the Local Civil Registrar of the municipality of the birthplace.   

  • If there are any discrepancies in the Birth Certificates: please provide an Affidavit of Discrepancy from any Notary Public

 

 

7)      For married applicants: PSA Marriage Certificate (must be issued within six months from date of submission of visa application). 

8)   Daily Schedule in Japan (Itinerary). Please download template here.

 

9)   FOR STUDENTS: Original school certification from the registrar’s office and copy of school ID.

10)   FOR PERSONAL HELPERS (Nannies, family drivers, etc.): 

  • Employment certificate of helper

  • Photos of helper with the employer

11)      FOR EMPLOYEES: Original Certificate of Employment (must include position, date hired, compensation, office address, HR landline number (cellphone number is not allowed), HR official email address).

12)   FOR EMPLOYEES: Travel authorization form or authorized leave form signed by HR officer or manager (optional).

13)   Photocopy of company ID, school ID, or Senior Citizen’s ID/OSCA ID.

14)   Letter of Guarantee (please use this Letter of Guarantee form).

GUARANTOR REQUIREMENTS:

15)      For parents sponsoring their children:

  • PSA Marriage Certificate (must be issued within six months from date of submission of visa application). 

  • PSA Birth Certificate  (must be issued within six months from date of submission of visa application). 

  • Family photos

 

16)      FOR EMPLOYEES: Original Certificate of Employment (must include position, date hired, compensation, office address, HR landline number (cellphone number is not allowed), HR official email address).

 

17)      FOR EMPLOYEES: Income Tax Return ( ITR ) ( form 2316, 1701, 1702 ) clear copy – latest / or EXPLANATION LETTER in the absence of ITR

 

18)   FOR BUSINESS OWNERS: Photocopy of Business Registration from SEC or DTI

 

19)   FOR BUSINESS OWNERS: Photocopy of Business Permit or Mayor’s Permit

 

20)   FOR BUSINESS OWNERS:  BIR certificate and  Income Tax Return ( ITR ) ( form 2316, 1701, 1702 ) clear copy – latest / or EXPLANATION LETTER in the absence of ITR.

21)   Photocopy of company ID   

 

22)   Updated original personal bank certificate 

 

  • Must include account type, current balance, account opening date, 6 months average balance (ADB)

  • Validity of Bank Certificate is three (3) month from the date of issue.  

  • The purpose indicated in the bank certificate should be for visa application.

  • Certified true copy is not allowed.

 

IMPORTANT REMINDERS FOR ALL OF

OUR APPLICANTS:

 

  • We would also need one (1) member of the group to do a personal appearance to the nearest Attic Tours office You will also be accompanied by one of our employees during your personal appearance as well.

  • Please keep in mind that our agency would only provide Japan visa processing assistance. We do not, in any way, guarantee your Visa approval. Approval of Visas would still solely be under the jurisdiction of the Embassy of Japan.

  • Processing usually takes 1-2 weeks after submission of complete requirements.  Processing time indicated is based on average application time. It is not guaranteed and may be delayed if additional documents are required by the embassy.  Should the embassy require additional documents, we will be informing the client right away.

  • Processing will start as soon as complete payment is received.

  • We do not give refunds for denied visa applications and delayed visa release.

  • We require clients to submit their application at least six weeks before their desired travel date.  Staravel Travel and Tours will not accept visa applications with departure date scheduled within 5 weeks and below from the date of submission.

  • Any request for early release, and pulling out/cancellation of application is not permitted once the requirements are submitted to the Japan Embassy.

  • In the application form, put N/A in the fields that are not applicable to you. Never leave a field blank if possible.

  • All documents should be printed on new/clean paper without any markings.

  • It is applicant’s responsibility to ensure that he/she meet the requirements for the grant of a visa. 

  • Submission of any supporting documents not listed above is encouraged (e.g. applicant’s economic or social ties with the Philippines, urgent reasons for visit: medical certificate, wedding invitation).  Below are some examples of supporting documents that may be submitted, at client’s discretion, but are not limited to:

a.       Roundtrip airline tickets to Japan

b.       Hotel bookings

c.       Land titles

d.       Vehicle registration

e.       Country club or golf memberships

f.        Pension certificates

g.       Retirement certificate (for retirees)

 

  • Family members that will be travelling together with the same purpose should apply at the same time.

  • Attach a letter of explanation for documents that cannot be submitted.

  • Bank account: The rule of thumb is 10,000 pesos per day, multiplied by the number of days the applicant is planning to stay in Japan. Logically, your estimate should also not be more than the amount of money shown in your bank certificates. Your estimate travel cost should be enough for your intended period of stay
